Fifth Annual Historic Garden Walk
The Fifth Annual Historic Garden Walk in Grand Rapids, Ohio is Saturday, June 20, 2026 (rain date Sunday 6/21/26) where we will be celebrating the United States Semiquincentennial with red, white and blue blooms throughout the village!.
This year’s Historic Garden Walk will showcase The Town Hall Theater built in 1898, provide access to Ten Private Gardens (six favorites from the past and four new to you), the Village Sculpture Garden and Community Spaces, offer First Pick of the Season at GardenView Flowers, and give participants an opportunity to Shop and Eat in the Victorian Village of Grand Rapids, Ohio.
The Town Hall Theater in Grand Rapids Ohio was built in 1898 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Thanks to the efforts of the Town Hall Committee Volunteers, the building has been restored to its original grandeur showcasing local events and performers. Garden Walk Participants will be taken behind the scenes to view the workings of the theater and to hear the stories and legends surrounding this historic site. Tours will be every 30 minutes from 10:00 to 3:000. Chairlift is available to the second floor, however, please note that not all areas are accessible friendly. No food or drinks are allowed in the Town Hall.

Most Village Shops will be open until 5:00 pm and Restaurants will be serving throughout the day and evening.
Just as a heads up, the Grand Rapids exit on Route 24 will be closed this weekend for the Garden Walk. You will want to get off at either Waterville exits instead and take the scenic route down old 24 (a favorite route anyway). Don't let this stop you from coming out! The detour takes the same amount of time and is much prettier.
This event is sponsored by Grand Growers, a non-profit gardening group volunteering in Grand Rapids, Ohio.

FAIRY DOOR CLASS
Held the morning of the Historic Garden Walk at Angelwood Gallery in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Create charming fairy doors that look like wood or cobblestone (other options available including florals). These adorable pieces are perfect against a tree, along your home, in your garden - or even indoors as a sweet “tooth fairy” door for your little ones! We love an outdoor theme for a chipmunk door as well! The class is scheduled early so you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the garden walk afterward. (You purchase a separate ticket for the garden walk).
Class is 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Angelwood Gallery in Grand Rapids, Ohio on 6/20/26. Cost is $40 per person. All classes are ages 18+. Pre-registration and pre-payment required. To register, email angelwoodgaller@gmail.com. Please include your full name, email address, cell phone number and how you would like to pay (invoice or stopping in at gallery prior to the class)
