2027 Grand Growers Planned Schedule and Local Events

  • There will be no monthly meeting in November or December 2026. Have a safe and happy Winter Holiday!

  • In 2027, Grand Growers will be going back to the basics of Month-By-Month Gardening in Ohio. Please join us as we focus on garden tips and topics to help keep our yards and gardens looking their best every month of the year.

    This November tasks should center around finishing tucking the garden and lawn in for winter.

    -Harvest any remaining vegetables and store in a cool place.

    -If you haven't needed to mow in a couple of weeks, your lawn is probably dormant and it's time to apply an organic fertilizer.

    -It's not too late to plant bulbs to see them bloom in the spring.

    -Be sure to clear away tools, hoses and garden furniture before the snow flies.

    -Move clay and concrete pots and statues into a protected location to prevent them from cracking over winter.

    Taking action now will help guarantee beautiful lawns and gardens next year!

    • May 15th - Spring Garden Exchange

    • June 19th - Historic Garden Walk

    • October 16th - Fall Garden Exchange

  • Possible field trips occurring outside the monthly meeting times and may include

    • Toledo Zoo Orchid Show in April

    • Toledo Botanical Gardens

    • Groovy Plants Ranch

    • Local Private Gardens

    • Others
